Armor of the Goddess

$222.00

Most are familiar with Black Tourmaline’s striations (stripes) which are a feature of the sides of a naturally growing crystal Schorl, but fewer are accustomed to its natural termination—the trigonal pyramid that forms at its top. This formation is front and center in this amulet, resembling a naturally formed triangular shield. In the Devi Mahatmyam there is a prayer known as the Devi Kavacam, or the “Armor of the Goddess”, and this piece feels emblematic of that prayer.

Black Tourmaline on its own is well known for its protective capabilities as a grounding stone that connects you to earth and absorbs heavy energies.

Slung on a 24” oval chain and stamped on the reverse with FDW maker’s mark

Shield measures 2cm" x .2.5cm"
